Traffic crash on the W Road
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 4200 block of the W Road earlier this evening at approximately 6:07 p.m. on a one vehicle traffic crash. When deputies arrived on scene they found that a 2002 Chevrolet Trail Blazer traveling up the W road, hit the retaining wall then traveled over the wall going air borne before hitting several trees and coming to rest about 150 feet down the steep embankment.
A motorist traveling behind the Trail Blazer witnessed the crash and notified emergency responders. On scene to assist in the removal and rescue of the driver was Chattanooga/Hamilton County Rescue, Walden Ridge Emergency Services, Lone Oak Emergency Services and Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services. The driver, identified as Terissa Evans age 48 of Red Bank was transported by Life Force to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The traffic crash is being investigated by Sgt. David Tittle with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
