HCSO Explorer Post #2070
Explorer Post #2070 representing the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office attended Winterfest 2012 in Gatlinburg, Tennessee on February 3-4, 2012. This is a competitive event held each year and is the largest national event for Explorers. This year there were more than seventy (70) Explorer Posts from as far away as Florida and Mississippi as well as Ohio and Virginia.
Nine (9) Explorers from the HCSO participated in the Class A Uniform competition, D.U.I. Traffic Stop, Warrant Service and Cell Extraction (moving an unruly inmate from one cell to another). Also each post could enter one Explorer in the Individual Tactical Physical Fitness competition.
HCSO Explorer Post #2070 placed 1st in the Class A Uniform competition, 5th place in the Cell Extraction competition and 3rd place in the Individual Tactical Physical Fitness competition.
These young men worked especially hard with training and practice getting ready for this event and represented the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in an exemplary fashion.
