Roy Arrested in Middle Valley Thefts
The Criminal Investigation Division of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office initiated a saturation of extra manpower that covered an area in Middle Valley involving Coffelt, Moses, and Gates Roads. This was due to an increase in reported vehicle burglaries and other thefts occurring in this area.
The saturation of manpower began on Sunday, February 19 through Tuesday, February 21, 2012. At approximately 2:00 a.m. on February 22, 2012, Detectives took Jimmie Dean Roy into custody. He was in possession of a stolen bicycle at the time of his arrest. As the investigation continued, detectives obtained a search warrant for Roy’s residence at 7411 Harper Road, Hixson, Tennessee and recovered a large amount of stolen property. This recovered property was found to have been stolen from the reported thefts and vehicle burglaries reported in the target area.
Jimmie Dean Roy has been charged with Theft over $500, Possession of Burglary Tools, and Possession of Marijuana. The investigation is continuing and other charges will be filed in connection to this arrest.
