Caring Cops Toy Drive
It’s that time of the year when every child starts making their Christmas toy wish list. So to help things along and to make as many wishes come true as possible, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office “Caring Cops Toy” barrels have been placed at different area Wal Marts throughout Hamilton County.
As everyone is aware with the economy being what it is, we need to dig down deep and keep the Christmas spirit alive. The reality is that without our help many children will not have a Christmas this year. Toy drives are a great way to support a very worthy cause such as the “Forgotten Child Fund.” All toys or monetary contributions to the “Caring Cops Toy Drive” are given to the “Forgotten Child Fund.”
So let’s get busy and bring smiles to the faces of the children in our community at this magical time of year. It will also assist in creating a pleasant and enjoyable experience for children to view law enforcement as caring and approachable adults.
The last day for the “Toy Drive” will be December 18, 2008 at the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office located at 600 Market Street. Anyone who is interested will be able to drop off a toy starting at 7:30 a.m. and even Santa may come by for a visit.
