Hamilton County Jail Passes State and Federal Inspections
The Hamilton County Jail underwent inspections on Thursday, September 6, 2012 by the Tennessee Corrections Institute and the United States Marshall’s Service. These are yearly inspections that cover the facility to include; safety and security of inmates and staff, health and well-being of the inmates as well as medical services provided, cleanliness and sanitation. Also inspected was the jail kitchen where all food served to inmates is prepared.
Sheriff Jim Hammond is extremely proud of the Corrections Staff for their hard work and dedication, as it is the goal of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office to maintain the highest of standards to better serve the citizens of Hamilton County.
