Traffic Fatality on Lee Pike
On October 13, 2012 at approximately 6:35 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 600 Lee Pike on a motorcycle crash. When Traffic Investigators arrived on scene they found that a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Johnny W. Uren had been traveling east bound on Lee Pike. The driver drifted over the center line going off the roadway on the left side and into a ditch. The motorcycle continued in the ditch until hitting a culvert, which caused the driver to come off the motorcycle. The investigation shows that the driver hit a tree stump that was located on the other side of the culvert.
The driver was transported to Erlanger Hospital by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services, where he later died in surgery. The investigation is continuing and being handled by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Division.
