1st Annual Community Day at Loftis Middle School
It is that time of year when we start thinking of the up-coming Christmas season and for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office it will officially start on November 3, 2012.
November 3, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the 1st Annual Loftis Community Day will be held at Loftis Middle School located at 8611 Camp Columbus Road.
There will be plenty to entertain everyone from a Car Show, Loftis Middle School Band & Chorus, and Music by Davey Smith, Craft Vendors and plenty of food. Participants for the car show can either pay a $10.00 fee or bring a toy, while the vendors are requested to pay a $20.00 fee or bring toys. All money and toys are collected for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Christmas toy drive that will in turn be donated to the Forgotten Child Fund.
This event has been made possible through the efforts of the faculty, staff, parents and students of Loftis Middle School, also to local businesses and a special thanks to the School Resource Officer, Mike Houston.
The principal and staff feel that despite the tragic occurrence of vandalism and fire at the school, they wished to give back to the community who has shown tremendous support to the school.
Please come out and join in the fun on November 3, 2012, bring a toy and enjoy the festivities at Loftis Middle School.
