This morning at approximately 6:48 a.m. Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was called to 5973 Hunter Road, Hunter Middle School regarding a pedestrian struck. When Deputies arrived on scene they found that Elizabeth Drew, who is a School Crossing Guard for HCSO, had been hit by a vehicle while working her job post.

Based upon the on-scene investigation as well witness statements, it was found that Ms. Drew was hit by a vehicle pulling from Teal Road onto Hunter Road. Ms. Drew was wearing all safety equipment required in the performance of her job duties. She was transported by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services to an area hospital and the extent of her injuries are not known.

The driver of the 2008 Honda involved Camille Godwin, was given a citation for Failure to Exercise Drivers Due Care.
