Traffic Fatality Reported at 14100 Dayton Pike
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a traffic crash this morning at approximately 10:06 a.m. in the 14100 block of Dayton Pike. When deputies arrived on scene they found the crash involved a single vehicle described as a 2007 Toyota Camry.
Traffic Investigators determined during the investigation that the Toyota Camry had been traveling south bound on Dayton Pike with three occupants. The vehicle left the roadway on the right side then continued to travel a short distance before striking a tree.
The female driver had to be extricated from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two occupants were transported to an area hospital due to the injuries they sustained in the crash. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services and Sale Creek Fire Department.
The investigation is on-going and being handled by the HCSO Traffic Division. Names of the victims are being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
