HCSO "Spring Fling" Cheer & Dance Competition Toy Drive
April 10, 2013
For Immediate Release:
Although Christmas is eight months away, toys are an important subject with those involved with the “Forgotten Child Fund.”
This Saturday, April 13, 2013 at the Convention and Trade Center, doors will open at 9:00 a.m. for the “Spring Fling” Cheer & Dance Competition sponsored by “We’ve Got Spirit.” Cheer and Dance teams from Chattanooga as well as teams from Virginia, Georgia and Alabama will be here performing for a heated competition. Each participant taking part in this event is asked to bring a toy for either a boy or girl, with all toys collected going to the “Forgotten Child Fund.”
Also on hand for entertainment will be Sammy Arriaga, who is a rising country star now living in Nashville. Sammy will be on site at the Convention & Trade Center from 10:30 a.m. until 1:35 p.m. and will be performing. For further information on Sammy Arriaga please go to the following link. http://www.sammyarriaga.com/
This is the start for the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in collecting toys that benefit the “Forgotten Child Fund.” The success for the Sheriff’s Office in this endeavor is done with the assistance of Mrs. Dee Dee Barnes (“We’ve Got Spirit”) and Kelly Simmons (Chattanooga Fire Department) and President of the “Forgotten Child Fund.”
Hope to see everyone on Saturday.
