On May 20, 2013, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies working with Georgia law enforcement and the United States Marshall Service located the suspect, Terry Lee Releford in Gordon County, Geo rgia (1442 U.S. Highway 41); specifically, the Budget Inn Hotel.

Communication with Releford was established, but Releford apparently ended his own life with a single gunshot to the head.

Georgia law enforcement will be conducting the investigation into the death of Releford.
