Holiday Sobriety Checkpoints
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office and East Ridge Police Department in a combined effort, will be conducting “Sobriety Checkpoints” on Friday May 31, 2013. The officers will be covering various highways, streets and roads throughout Hamilton County and the City of East Ridge, Tennessee. These locations include but are not limited to Ringgold Road, Spring Creek Road, Frawley Road, Germantown Road, Brainerd Road and Moore Road.
The “Sobriety Checkpoints” will be held between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. The goal as always is to reduce crashes, remove intoxicated and impaired drivers, and to save lives on our streets and highways. Special attention will be placed on the impaired/intoxicated drivers, and those who choose not to buckle their seatbelts.
The checkpoints will be in conjunction with the “Click It or Ticket” campaign sponsored by the Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
