HCSO Awards Program
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office held their annual Awards Program Thursday September 26, 2013. This event is organized each year to honor employees of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office who are nominated and chosen by their peers to receive recognition for performing their job responsibilities in an outstanding manner.
Honorees were: “Deputy of the Year,” Deputy Nathan Fountain, “Investigator of the Year,” Detective Robin Langford, “School Resource Officer of the Year,” C.P.D. Officer Pam Davis, “Corrections Officer of the Year,” Officer Michael McGowan, “Court Officer of the Year,” Officer Clarence Willhoit, “Supervisor of the Year,” Corporal Stephen Short, “Civilian Manager of the Year,” Carole Miller, “Civilian of the Year,” Heather Winters, “Special Recognition,” Paul Hutchings.
Also recognized were employees for their years of service with the HCSO, beginning with the completion of five years all the way to 35 years. Captain Charles Lowery was honored with a plaque for his 35 years of service with the Sheriff’s Office.
Special entertainment for everyone’s enjoyment was provided by the smooth driving blue grass band “Barefoot Nellie & Co.
