Two Arrested at Red Bank High School
A student at Red Bank High School located at 640 Morrison Springs Road, became involved in a verbal argument with another student on campus. This argument accelerated to the point this student was trying to get the other student to engage in a physical altercation. An administrator was attempting to break this up but when the student again tried to start a physical altercation with the other student, Deputy Tim Mann, who is the assigned School Resource Officer became involved.
When Deputy Mann was placing the student in custody, the student became unruly and was fighting with Deputy Mann. To further complicate the situation, this students brother then became involved and was fighting with Deputy Mann. Both parties were arrested for their actions.
The initial student involved, who is a juvenile was charged with Assault and Disorderly Conduct and transported to Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center. This students brother identified as Edward Springs age 18, who was not a student at Red Bank High School was charged with Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
No injuries were reported.
