On August 24, 2014, Deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 58 Mart located at 8909 Highway 58 on a reported carjacking. The victim in the incident stated he was sitting in his truck at the 58 Mart when a white male opened the door and forcefully removed him from the vehicle while assaulting him. The suspect gained control of the truck and fled north on Highway 58 with the vehicle. The victim received minor injuries as a result of being assaulted and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The suspect left a vehicle on the parking lot at the store, which later was found to be stolen out of Bradley County.

As the investigation progressed Detectives were able to identify the suspect as 20 year old Richard David Dillard, from Bradley County. Felony arrest warrants have been obtained for Dillard in this case. The warrants include: Carjacking, Felony Reckless Endangerment & Felony Vandalism.

Dillard also has active felony arrest warrants in Bradley County.

At this time, the whereabouts of Richard David Dillard is unknown. He is a resident of Bradley County with no known ties to Hamilton County.
