On 1-19-15, Jimi Hammond was arrested on charges stemming from a domestic assault investigation conducted by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. Jimi Hammond is employed by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office in the IT Department. Based on the charges, he has been placed on placed on administrative leave and his court appearance is scheduled for February 2nd.

Jimi is the son of Sheriff Jim Hammond. The Sheriff has recused himself from any of the internal proceedings regarding his son and has referred those to Chief Deputy Allen Branum. Chief Branum indicated this case would be handled as any other employee and has ordered an internal investigation be conducted. Hammond is being held in the Hamilton County Jail on a twenty thousand dollar bond. No other information will be released pending an on-going investigation.
