Chop Shop Busted
On 03/31/15, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol Criminal Investigation Division conducted an investigation in the Birchwood area involving the theft of vehicles.
During the course of the investigation, two stolen vehicles were located at a residence on Rabbit Lane. The vehicles had been stripped and the Vehicle Identification Numbers (V.I.N.) removed. Numerous vehicle parts and counterfeit money was also discovered on the property. The value of stolen property is estimated at $25,000.00.
Michael Robinson, Tabitha Robinson and Justin Holder were arrested and charged with; Violation of the Motor Vehicle Chop Shop Act, Altering a Manufacturers Serial Number, Theft over $10,000.00, Theft over $1000.00, Setting Fire to Personal Property and Criminal Simulation.
The investigation is currently open.
