Sex Offender Registry Violater arrested in Mississippi
Christopher Allen McBryar w/m age 48, who has been wanted by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Division for Violation of the Sex Offender Registry since November 2005, was arrested today in Harrison County, Mississippi.
Christopher McBryar finished his parole in October 2004 and did not make any attempt to register with the Sex Offender Registry in Hamilton County. A warrant was obtained in November 2005 on Mr. McBryar for Violation of the Sex Offender Registry. Detectives with the Fugitive Division investigated all leads received over the last few years and he was then placed on the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office “12 Most Wanted”.
Information was received that Mr. McBryar was possibly working in the state of Mississippi on properties damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive division along with the United States Marshall’s Office checked all leads and located Mr. McBryar in Harrison County, Mississippi. He was arrested and is now waiting extradition back to Tennessee.
