Hamilton County, TN - This past weekend, several members of the HCSO participated in this year's Hamilton County Fair!

This year the HCSO hosted two tents, one for public relations and the Neighborhood Watch Program and the other for our Explorers to provide free digital identification disks for our community's children. Over 100 children went through the process and received digital identification disks. Also, as part of our exhibit, children were able to climb aboard one of our SWAT trucks and received various safety coloring books, pencils, and stickers! Parents were given promotional material on keeping their homes safe from natural emergencies and acts of terrorism.

Several HCSO staff worked the event and/or provided assistance with logistics, security, and traffic control including our Patrol Division, Reserves, SWAT, Mounted Horse Patrol, Mobile Command staff, Explorers, PIO, and Neighborhood Watch. Sheriff Hammond would like to offer a special thank you to all who participated to help make this a successful event.
