Hamilton County, TN - On Tuesday, September 29, 2015, the HCSO Drug Take-Back Program partnered with other local service organizations and participated in the 2015 Take a Stand to Prevent Falls Event at the Eastgate Senior Center at Eastgate Mall.

This year's event was sponsored by the Hamilton County Health Department, Erlanger Medical Center, UTC School of Nursing, Chattanooga Department of Youth and Family Development, Fall Prevention Chattanooga, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

National Falls Prevention Awareness Day brings communities together to support healthy aging and seeks to raise awareness about how to avoid and prevent fall-related injuries among older adults.

This creative event offered a variety of services for senior citizens and had many useful booths offering services from residential handicap access tools to medical screenings to retirement services to elder care resources. Over 300 people participated.
