Hamilton County, TN - On Wednesday, September 30, 2015, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Jim Hammond participated in the National Bullying Prevention Month Kick-Off Celebration at Hamilton Place Mall. Today's event, sponsored by CBL Properties, focused on the growing national issue of bullying and cyberbullying in our schools, predominately during the years of kindergarten thru second grade.

Several speakers discussed the negative impact of bullying on our community including Sheriff Jim Hammond, City Mayor Andy Berke, and Hamilton County Department of Education Superintendent, Rick Smith.

Numerous families, children, and community partners were on hand at the Hamilton Place Mall Main Stage to celebrate in the kick-off event. Local news celebrity, David Carroll, emceed the event.
