HCSO Requests Community Assistance in Locating Witnesses to Fatal Crash

Hamilton County, TN - The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is requesting anyone in the community who may have witnessed or assisted with trying to help the victims of the deadly crash on October 2, 2015 which claimed the life of a toddler on Boy Scout Road to contact the Traffic Division at 423-893-3503, ext. 260 (please leave a message if no answer).

In order to gather necessary information pertinent to the crash, Traffic Investigators would like to speak to any eye witnesses who may have seen the wreck occur or may have stopped to provide assistance to the family prior to EMS and Police arrival. These eye witness accounts are very important for the investigation and may help shed additional light on how this accident occurred.

Interviewing eye witnesses is a standard part of most traffic investigations. Their testimony can help shed light on various aspects of the accident just prior to or after the event occurred.

The wreck in question occurred on October 2, 2015 at approximately 11:00 am near the 1000 block of Boy Scout Road.

Original Release:

Hamilton County, TN - At approximately 11:00 am on Friday, October 2, 2015, Hamilton County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an accident with injuries at the 1000 block of Boy Scout Road.

Upon arrival, deputies found a single car accident involving four passengers. Three of the four passengers were transported to a local hospital and the fourth, an infant, was pronounced dead on arrival.

Preliminary reports show the vehicle was headed eastbound on Boy Scout Road.

Due to the accident, Moses Road to Hampton Woods is temporarily closed until further notice.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Division is currently investigating this accident.

As this is an ongoing investigation, no further details or information will be released at this time.
