HCSO Deputies Involved in Vehicle Pursuit on Ooltewah-Georgetown Road
Hamilton County, TN - Earlier today, Friday, October 16, 2015, day shift deputies were notified of a stolen vehicle and authorities issued a BOLO (Be-On-The-Look-Out) with the make, model, and description of the vehicle.
At approximately 7:30 pm tonight, HCSO Deputies came across the suspect vehicle while on patrol on Lee Highway. Deputies confirmed it was the stolen vehicle and attempted to pull the car over around the 9100 block of Lee Highway. The driver of the stolen vehicle then failed to stop and led deputies on a short vehicle pursuit which ultimately ended near the 8900 block of Ooltewah Georgetown Road after road spikes were deployed. After the vehicle ran over the spike strips, it came to rest in a nearby driveway where deputies quickly apprehended the driver, Jesse Mennis, without incident.
Mr. Mennis was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he is awaiting booking and processing.
