AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation of Greater Chattanooga Announces Winner of 2015 Media Shoot! Don't Shoot Competition
Hamilton County, TN - Today, the AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation of Greater Chattanooga formally announced the winner of the first annual Shoot! Don't Shoot! Media Competition during today's signature event and luncheon downtown at the Chattanoogan Hotel.
Amidst several hundred members of our community including local business leaders, elected officials, members of law enforcement and media representatives, as well as numerous supporters, AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation Executive Director, Tom Edd Wilson, formally announced the Chattanooga Times Free Press was the winner of the 1st Annual Shoot, Don't Shoot Media Competition.
The Chattanooga Times Free Press winning team was comprised of Shelly Bradbury and Jay Greeson.
This year's participants included WRCB News Channel 3, WTVC News Channel 9, WDEF News Channel 12, Nooga.com, Chattanoogan.com, and the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
This year's competition was a great success and allowed local media to spend time with local law enforcement personnel and see firsthand some of the benefits and unique experiences provided by using a state-of-the-art Firearms Training Simulator to train officers.
Media representatives got to see firsthand the challenges posed to officers in critical situations and how fast they have to properly react.
The AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation of Greater Chattanooga would like to thank our local press and media for participating in this fun and educational opportunity!
