Hamilton County, TN - Earlier this afternoon, Thursday, November 05, 2015, the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office was made aware of a social media post concerning the safety and security of a local high school.

The information was made available from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office School Resource Officers were immediately notified and within just a few minutes the person responsible for the post was identified as a student attending a Hamilton County High School.

The student was detained and questioned by Hamilton County Sheriff Office investigators. The student has been charged with false reporting under TCA 39-16-502.

Furthermore, the HCSO advises there is no viable threat to the school or the community as this time.

Due to the suspect in this case being a juvenile and the fact this incident is still under investigation, no further information will be released.
