The name of the victim in last night's accident at South Coulterville Road and Highway 27 has been released as Bruce Hayes, Jr. (36 year old white male)

The investigation is still ongoing. No further information is available at this time.

Hamilton County, TN - At approximately 6:30 PM tonight, Hamilton County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to the intersection of South Coulterville Road and Highway 27 on the report of a pedestrian struck.

Upon arrival deputies found a male victim deceased in the roadway having been struck by a vehicle.

At this point it is unclear as to why the victim was in the roadway.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Traffic Investigators are currently on scene investigating the incident.

The immediate part of Highway 27 where the accident occurred has been shut down. Traffic is being re-routed temporarily through South Coulterville Road.
