AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation Receives Donation from Local Union for Firearms Simulator Purchase
Hamilton County, TN - Today, AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation Executive Director, Tom Edd Wilson, and Sheriff Jim Hammond, formally accepted a donation from the UA Local 43 - Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in order to support the foundation’s efforts to purchase a new, state-of-the-art firearms simulator for local law enforcement.
The generous donation, given by the union, was officially handed off today by Business Manager, David Tolley, and Business Agent, Joe Collins.
As mentioned above, this donation will be added to others received by the AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation of Greater Chattanooga to aid in the foundation’s efforts to purchase a firearms simulator to be used by the HCSO and other local law enforcement agencies.
Sheriff Jim Hammond stated, "I am very proud of the support the HCSO has consistently received by the UA Local 43. The members of UA Local 43 have always been supportive of local law enforcement and building a better community."
AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation Executive Director, Tom Edd Wilson, further added, "We appreciate the generosity of UA Local 43 and their efforts to support the purchase of a new simulator for local law enforcement. It is obvious by the training they give to their members and apprentices that training is important to them… as it is to us. Making sure our local law enforcement personnel receive the best training possible is paramount."
The AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation is currently raising money for the purchase of the new simulator and anyone who wishes to support this endeavor can contact 423-886-1850 or via email at TOMEDD@EPBFI.COM.
