The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was notified on April 22, 2009, by the Hamilton County Medical Examiner’s Office regarding the death of a three year old female. The child was transported to their facility from T. C. Thompson Hospital and during a preliminary examination, suspicious signs of trauma were noted.

The Detectives assigned responded to the Forensic Center and were present while the autopsy was conducted. The results of the autopsy revealed that significant trauma was found and the death has been ruled a homicide.

The criminal investigation is continuing and when further information can be released, the media will be notified.
