Multiple Law Enforcement Agencies Receive K-9 Vests through Donation from Miller Family Foundation Today

Hamilton County, TN – Today, Monday, July 11, 2016 at 9:00 am, the AEGIS Law Enforcement Foundation in association with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, Soddy Daisy Police Department, Collegedale Police Department, and the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office hosted a joint press conference at the Hamilton County River Park to honor and recognize the Miller Family and the Miller Family Foundation for their generous donation of (12) new bullet-proof vests for local law enforcement canines.
Members of the Miller Family were on hand for the occasion.
These new bullet-proof K-9 vests will increase the safety and capabilities of our local law enforcement canines in dangerous situations while performing their daily duties along with their human counterpart (handler).
The total monetary donation given by the Miller Family Foundation for the vests was $12,000.
During the press conference, several local law enforcement agencies and K-9 personnel were on hand to accept the new vests from members of the Miller Family. The media was also on hand to cover the event and conduct interviews. A short K-9 demonstration followed for those who wished to stay.
