Hamilton County, TN – On Thursday, October 13th, WDEF News Channel 12 officially chose Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Detective, Patricia Nolan, as their choice for First Responder of the Month for October.

Detective Nolan was recently awarded a commendation by Sheriff Jim Hammond for her unrelenting efforts to find escaped Hamilton County Jail Inmate, Dustin Adams, after he fled Hamilton County, Tennessee in order to avoid recapture.

Detective Nolan coordinated efforts with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive and Narcotics Divisions, the U.S. Marshals Service, Chattanooga Police Department Fugitive Division, TBI, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Fannin County, Georgia Sheriff’s Office, and the McCaysville, Georgia Police Department in order to bring the fugitive, Dustin Adams, safely into custody in less than two days.

Longtime WDEF News 12 TV anchor and journalist, Bill Mitchell, visited with Detective Nolan on Wednesday and gave her a certificate from the news station and interviewed her for last night’s story.
