Hamilton County, TN – With assistance from the men and women of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Charlie West Team, Santa was able to deliver presents early to several children this morning!

In an effort to help ensure kids in their district had a “Merry Christmas,” the deputies of Charlie West took it upon themselves to help purchase presents for families needing holiday assistance. Each of the deputies donated money and volunteered their time to purchase and wrap presents for several kids in their district.

Charlie West deputies also received additional donations to help support their worthy cause from Middle Valley Church of God and Living Faith Church on Cassandra Smith Road as well as Ganns Middle Valley School.

“Charlie West wanted to give back to the community we serve and we couldn’t think of a better way than to make sure our local kids in need have presents to open under the tree on Christmas morning,” stated HSCO Sergeant Stephen Short. “Christmas is a time of giving and we want our community’s children to know that we in law enforcement are here to help them.”

In a vehicle caravan Sporting Santa Hats and blue lights, Charlie West deputies went from one house to another spreading Christmas cheer and delivering presents for Ole St. Nick.

The deputies of Charlie West who participated in making today’s “Christmas Delivery” are Deputies’ Jacob Bryson, Nathan Fountain, Jamie Gravitte, Jason Mitchell, Rick Harvey, Brevin Cameron, Corporal Ben Johnson,

Sergeant Bill Whiteside, and Sergeant Stephen Short.

Special thanks to the deputies of HCSO Charlie West who worked hard make today special for these kids. This is yet another way your local HCSO Deputies are making a difference in our community.

It is important to note that tomorrow night, several HCSO deputies will once again put on their Santa hats and help deliver more Christmas cheer as they take part in the “Santa Train” on Christmas Eve!
